Terms and Conditions of Service
CANCELLATION:
All deposits and payments are non-refundable. Travel insurance (trip cancellation) is not included and can be purchased for an additional cost. Trip cancellation insurance enables individuals to cancel their trip at any time due to a family or medical emergency and receive a full refund, or cancel for any other reason at least 48 hours prior to departure and receive a 75% refund. Trip cancellation insurance can be purchased on an individual basis during online registration and is recommended. Trip cancellation must be purchased within 15 days of making the initial deposit.
Global Service Adventures reserves the right to cancel a program that does not enroll to a minimum level. In such an occurrence, a full refund of payments made will be offered. If Global Service Adventures determines, for safety purposes, that it must cancel a program due to political unrest, civil strikes, etc., Global Service Adventures will do its best to offer a similar alternative program. If such a comparable program is offered and refused by the enrolled, Global Service Adventures is not obligated to refund deposits or final payments for any reason.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Lodging will be provided in a moderate student-friendly hostel unless specific accommodations are
specified in your itinerary. If selected, group lodging facilities or host family stays may be used.
RISKS OF TRAVEL ABROAD:
I understand that travel in other countries is different from travel within the United States. Traveling outside the United States can involve inconvenience and risk, including, but not limited to: bad weather, different hygiene standards, infrastructure problems (like bad roads, and transportation delays), civil unrest, vandalism, crime, political instability, and terrorism.
There may not be medical services available during all or part of the program, and if there are, they may not be as good as in the participant's home country. I accept all risks of bodily injury, death, emotional trauma, property damage, inconvenience, and/or loss resulting from negligence or any other acts of any and all persons or entities, including but not limited to those risks mentioned above. I fully intend to assume all of the risks of travel and participation in the Global Service Adventures program and release Global Service Adventures from any and all liabilities to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Global Service Adventures, its officers, directors, shareholders, and employees do not own or operate any entity that is to provide goods or services for your program.

All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result, Global Service Adventures is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such person or entity, or of any third party.
Without limitation, Global Service Adventures is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay or inconvenience in connection with the provision of any goods or services occasioned by or resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God, force majeure, acts of government, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal, terrorist or threatened terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, structural or other defective conditions in houses, apartments or other lodging facilities (or in any heating, plumbing, electrical or structural problem therein), mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation or for any failure of an transportation mechanism to arrive or depart timely or safely, dangers associated with or bites from animals, insects or pests, sanitation problems, food poisoning, epidemics or the threat thereof, disease, lack of access to or quality of medical care, difficulty in evacuation in case of a medical or other emergency, or for any other cause beyond the direct control of Global Service Adventures.
